Summer has ended, but it doesn’t yet fully feel like fall. Here’s what we saw this past week:
Dramatic skies
Lots of rain
A number of weekend activities were cancelled in the rain. One of our favorite spots to go when it is raining is Rock Creek Park, with the trees and streams looking dramatic in the bad weather.
Fiesta DC
The annual Latino festival on Pennsylvania Avenue
Lafayette Square
Part of Lafayette Square reopened this week, with the fence coming down on the H St. side. The fencing still blocks off about half of the park.
