Politicians

In the massive crowds, we didn’t get near the speakers on the main stage, but several blocks back, Cory Booker and Adam Schiff were speaking to reporters in a small media enclave, and interacting with the crowd.

Security

There was a substantial security presence but fortunately a very calm crowd.

Destruction at the White House

It was a massive shock when the East Wing of the White House was demolished this week. The surprise demolition started on Monday. These photos were taken on Tuesday morning, where a lot of rubble can be seen and the second floor of the East Wing is starting to crumble. Views of the demolition are generally blocked except for a sliver of view through the security gates along 15th Street, where we took these photos.

A glorious fall

As respite from the ongoing news and the shutdown, the outdoor monuments and memorials are open and in beautiful fall colors.
