Tuesday was the 38th annual High Heel Race, and it remains as wonderful as ever.
There were a couple of hours of performances, led by emcee Cake Pop!
After the performances and the race entrants parading and posing in their costumes, Mayor Bowser went on stage and made some brief remarks. She then gave the countdown to the start of the race.
The race, fittingly, was won by Lady Liberty.
