First anniversary of the war in Ukraine

Last weekend was the first anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, and it was marked by the Ukrainian flags flying along Pennsylvania Avenue, a vigil at the Russian Embassy, and a rally at the Lincoln Memorial.

Candlelight vigil at the Russian Embassy

On February 24th, the first anniversary of the invasion, people gathered in the street outside the Russian Embassy. A projector from across the street shone the Ukrainian flag onto the facade of the embassy.

Rally at the Lincoln Memorial
