It’s not officially spring yet, but the warming weather and increased daylight signals that spring is on its way.
These owls in Rock Creek know it is almost spring – they have started their mating rituals:

The early bloomers are adding color to the city:






Baby squirrels are emerging from their nests:

The Wood Ducks are in Rock Creek Park:

And people are out enjoying themselves everywhere:

But last Saturday gave an only-in-D.C. abrupt weather change, with snow pelting the new blossoms:
