With Valentine’s Day almost here, we’re celebrating the times we’ve seen couples celebrating their engagements or weddings in iconic places in D.C.

The Lincoln Memorial

The Lincoln Memorial and its Reflecting Pool are undoubtedly the most popular spot that couples choose for public commitment ceremonies.

You can often spot couples posing for engagement or wedding photos on the north side of the top level of the Lincoln Memorial. The couple stands by the front edge, and the photographer stands back along the side corridor, getting a shot of the couple with the Reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, and Capitol in the background.

Cupid’s Undie Run
