The Nats open their season in a few days, and we are nostalgic for the time less than two years ago when the Nats won the World Series and the pandemic had not yet begun. Here’s a look back at the victory parade and the way we used to be able to celebrate and crowd all together:

The crowd was massive, forming a sea of red and finding a spot wherever they could.

Horns and cheering were constant, and even louder as the mascots and players came by.

Kids and dogs celebrated along the parade route.

After the parade ended, confetti covered much of Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues, to the delight of children.

Best wishes to the Nats on bringing much joy to the city during these difficult times!
