In the weeks before the Funk Parade, we are showcasing some of our favorite groups. This week we are featuring the Mo Lucas dancers and band members, who come up each year from Winston-Salem with great Funk spirit. These photos from the last couple of years show them getting ready for the parade, and we’re really looking forward to seeing them bring the Funk again this year.
The dancers and band members start very young:
While everyone at Funk seems to have a high energy level, the Mo Lucas dancers are especially jet propelled.
They combine serious concentration with wide smiles.
